Machine work....8am to 5pm
I started doing machine work in high school. After high school I worked for a manufacture in the VW/offroad/sand buggy/racing industry. I learned a lot about manufacturing, how to do things and how not to do things. I worked there for 11years, in March of 2008 they decided to close their doors, then they decided to sell, they could not find a buyer. I got really frustrated with the unstable work environment and quit in Sept 2008 (the day after my birthday). I knew I wanted to start a business but it took me until April 2009 to go official with JBE.
The parts I sell are parts that I have developed over the years on my car and my dad's car. Either no one made the part or a part was available but was not up to my standards or I just felt I could make a better part etc. That is how these parts came to be.
Back at the manufacture mentioned above I had a saying when I would see someone trying to send a crap part up to the assembly/shipping department........"would you put that on your car?" if the answer is no you should not be selling it. I can promise you that if I would not put it on my car I will not sell it to you.

I was pretty much born into VW's I have been around them my whole life. My Dad had a shop here in San Diego (70's-80's) "Jim's California Bug shop" My first car was a 59 bug (still have it) My dad and I built it up, the only thing we did not do is build the transmission, I leave that to the pro's.
